Google Ranking. It is possible to be number one.

by Anna Baumgartner

A lot of people who have their website are dreaming to be on the first pages in Google.

Actually, it is possible. It depends on a lot of factors, but, if you take them into the consideration, you can be number one.

Keywords play one of the most important role in being in a good ranking position in Google. There is a unique program Wordtracker, which gives you an opportunity to find the right and demanded keywords for your website. It gives you a choice of words and phrases, which you even didn’t think of. Very often you will notice that the word, which based on your opinion could be a key word is not requested at all. There is a trial program, so it gives you an opportunity to use this service for free for some time.

Adwords gives also a good possibility to find keywords for your site. It is for free, and you can use it any time. You just enter the domain of your page and receive a list of keywords, which fit your site content.

Your site will get a lot of visitors, if it has interesting material. That is why good articles full of keywords and phrases make a very useful input. If you add each week a new article, it will pay you back good results also. Try to write your own article and to publish it to ezines with link to your page. It brings your site also further, and you get targeted visitors.

Domain name is also important in crawling to the top. Choose it well. It has really bring people to the topic based on your domain name. It can be of the factor to crawl better in ranking of searching engines. Think about keyword combination, which fits your site content.

Links on your page can be very helpful to have good ranking. Put some links to the sites, which are already on the top.

Google’s policy now is to have on the first pages really rich informative sites, not only full of products to sell and bunch of advertising. Your site has to be different from the others and to have interesting material for public. If you know, how to make it, then you have good chances to be first in Google ranking.

Social Media Marketing- The Perfect Way to Promote Your Website

by ranju_kumar

By promoting your website using social media marketing, the traffic that you need to boost your site to the top of the ranking is accelerated. The repeat traffic that you will generate is a must not only for the rankings but the profits you can make by having web generated buyers.

There are several reasons that social media marketing has taken a while to catch on. The main reason is that many people do not know much about this type of marketing. The rest of the population may be interested in knowing but do not know how to go about using it and then there are those who just do not care to know. The one thing that most people do not realize is the amount of traffic that you can generate by using social media marketing is very large scale.

By using the technology that the internet provides - the video and audio on our computers- social media marketing can be used to promote anything. The technology has arrived; it is just not to the point of popularity that it will eventually be. This is one of the most cost friendly methods of promoting your website that will pay off in large numbers.

Social media marketing is the perfect way to promote viral content. Viral promotions are list, promotions, quizzes, how-to-videos, and this type of content. When it is used in this manner, the traffic that is generated is tremendous. The appeal is the difference between reading about how to do something, for instance making a chocolate pie, or watching a video about how this is done. The obvious choice would be watching a video.

When you use social media marketing you will generate traffic in more ways than one. The people who link directly to you and the referrals from other websites are tied into your website. The social news websites are a key to getting many of these links. Some of these social news websites such as Digg are trusted websites that will have a lot of clout with people who will be considering linking to your website to check it out. One thing that helps is the trustworthiness of the site that is referring traffic to your site. This can make the difference between whether you get traffic or not.

Stumble Upon is another site that people feel confident with when it comes to sites recommended. Your site can have more credibility when it is recommended by a well known site. When promoting a site, it is extremely important that the content be interesting to the social media. When the content is interesting, you will get loyal followers that will stay with you and keep track of your site.

The only thing you need to get started is interest in your site that will have people making purchases and telling others what a great site you have. The more your site is recommended the more traffic generated to your site. Naturally as this happens, the word will spread about this new site and more people will be checking it out which is more traffic. Social media marketing can make your site become a memorable one to people who will recommend it to others. This is the key to the explosion of popularity and traffic that you need to generate traffic to your website all by using social media marketing.

Relationship Of Google Adsense Your Blog And Web Directories.

by john00003

One of these subsidiaries of Google is called AdSense. Most of you must have heard of it but are not sure of what it is and how it helps people make a lot of money online. Well tell you here all that you need to know about Google AdSense and how you too can benefit from it.

In laymans terms Google AdSense is a marketing company. But you must rise above that level if you really want it to also work for you. For more details go to www.googleincomememachine.com .It is not just any other ordinary marketing company. It is an online marketing company and its marketing techniques are to say the least very innovative. It is an advertising company that is paid only if people see the advertisements and click on it.

Google AdSense ads are one of the most convenient and hassle free ways of advertising on your website. You just have to sign up with Google AdSense, accept their terms and then just sit back and do your part of the bargain, that is blogging and posting relevant content on your blog. After Google places ads on your blog and the visitors click on it Google will pay you fee based on Pay Per Click basis.

So whats in it for Google? Well, Google does not pay you the entire advertising fee to you but only a smaller percentage of what it gets. So Google also makes a good amount of money in all this exercise.

Now you must be thinking that why should you share the advertising revenue with Google when you are doing all the hard work of attracting visitors to your blogs? Well, that is because Google has a brand name which you perhaps dont have right now. Apart from that Google being a huge organization has more credibility amongst the advertisers than an individual or a small company. So theres nothing to fret about if you have to share the revenue generated out of advertising with Google AdSense. If you want to see what I am saying try and persuade 4 companies to advertise on your website and pay you on per click basis.

The form which you have to fill in for subscribing to Google AdSense will ask for some of your information like bank account number, Social Security number, Tax account number, address etc. Feel free to give it them because your information will be encrypted and stored only to be retrieved in case of a legal issue. For more details go to www.googleatmcash.com .Google Adsense also pays the subscribers for referrals. Referrals basically mean that you will get paid an amount of money if you refer someone else to become a subscriber of Google AdSense. Also if you place Googles toolbar on your blog and somebody downloads it, then also you get a commission for that based on every download.

While a lot of people have made a lot of money with Google AdSense, there are many others who just cant stop complaining that it is just another fraud. The crux of the matter is that you have to be smart and write content that is search engine friendly while being informative or interesting to the reader at the same time if you really want Google AdSense to work for you.

Effective social bookmarking has become a tool to be reckoned with when it come to producing network marketing traffic and leads. Did you know that using proper bookmarking etiquette can increase not only the traffic to your mlm business, but can also drive your website(s) up in the top rankings of the search engines? Social bookmarking gives you an immediate edge of being exposed to more targeted leads overtime, plus more targeted traffic to your blog or website which in turn will lead to more sales and signups.

Some of the best social bookmarking sites are

Digg
Facebook
Propeller
Twitter
Technorati
Stumbleupon

Although there are tons of social bookmarking sites on the internet you want to make sure you only use a few to get the desired results, because Google is very particular about the abuse of these particular services and they will penalize your status making it very difficult for you to show up in the search engine results.

If you want to boost your network marketing traffic and the amount of leads through bookmarking, the above list will suit you well. The key here is to use bookmarking services with the most users and popularity. However, don't be selfish in your activities with these services. If you see a post that really catches your attention, make sure you vote, comment, or write a short review giving the author credit, and in return you will increase your traffic to your network marketing business website.

There are many benefits of social bookmarking that will help you to expand your network marketing business. One way is to upload and share videos that you've posted on Youtube or your blog. Or you may want to bookmark an article that you wrote to get more traffic. Either way, the most important step in the bookmarking process is the use of keyword tags.

By using proper tags, the search engines will be able to search your content when your information is searched for by someone in your niche market. Tags are very important to use in each bookmarking component since this is how your article or video will be found by targeted prospects.

So if you are looking to increase your network marketing traffic and leads, using the best social bookmarking strategies has to be in your marketing arsenal. Not only will it increase the amount of exposure you receive, but it will also create more one-way backlinks pointing back to your website, which means more opportunity for your site to move up in the search engines much faster.

Dynamic vs. Static URLs for SEO-00-1083

by lori

1) Static URLs typically Rank better as far as the search engines are concerned.

2) Static URLs are always friendlier looking as far as the end users are concerned.

What the Official Google Webmaster Central Blog has to say on the issue:

a) What is a static URL?

A static URL is one that does not change, so it typically does not contain any url parameters. You can search for static URLs on Google by typing filetype:htm in the search field. Updating these kinds of pages can be time consuming, especially if the amount of information grows quickly, since every single page has to be hard-coded. This is why webmasters who deal with large, frequently updated sites like online shops, forum communities, blogs or content management systems may use dynamic URLs.

b) What is a dynamic URL?

If the content of a site is stored in a database and pulled for display on pages on demand, dynamic URLs maybe used. In that case the site serves basically as a template for the content. You can spot dynamic URLs by looking for characters like: ? = &. Dynamic URLs have the disadvantage that different URLs can have the same content. So different users might link to URLs with different parameters which have the same content. That's one reason why webmasters sometimes want to rewrite their URLs to static ones.

c) Should I try to make my dynamic URLs look static?

Following are some key points you should keep in mind while dealing with dynamic URLs:

It's quite hard to correctly create and maintain rewrites that change dynamic URLs to static-looking URLs. It's much safer to serve us the original dynamic URL and let us handle the problem of detecting and avoiding problematic parameters. If you want to rewrite your URL, please remove unnecessary parameters while maintaining a dynamic-looking URL.

If you want to serve a static URL instead of a dynamic URL you should create a static equivalent of your content.

d) Which can Googlebot read better, static or dynamic URLs?

"We've come across many webmasters who, like our friend, believed that static or static-looking URLs were an advantage for indexing and ranking their sites. This is based on the presumption that search engines have issues with crawling and analyzing URLs that include session IDs or source trackers. However, as a matter of fact, we at Google have made some progress in both areas. While static URLs might have a slight advantage in terms of clickthrough rates because users can easily read the urls, the decision to use database-driven websites does not imply a significant disadvantage in terms of indexing and ranking. Providing search engines with dynamic URLs should be favored over hiding parameters to make them look static."

by Juliane Stiller and Kaspar Szymanski, Google Search Quality Team

Search engines always face a lot of problems in creating links to dynamic content.

If you are yourself able to know these kinds of problems, you are halfway to getting your dynamic content indexed. Where ever possible, use static URLs to reference dynamic content.

If it is not possible then you must make sure that your dynamic URL is attached to by content referenced with the help of static URLs. You can also think upon making use of paid-inclusion programs.

7 Classic New Blogger Mistakes that Will Kill Your Traffic, Profit or Leads

by MorganLighter

Someone’s always asking me why their blog isn’t getting traffic/making money/converting leads. These are the top seven mistakes that are related to all three of these issues.

1. Being Too Anonymous

The general public still have only the vaguest idea of what a blog is. For those people, this is how it goes. They go to a search engine or a site they already frequent. They search for something or follow a link. They end up at your blog.

In 10 - 30 seconds, from 25% up to 90% of the time, they’ll then leave, not having found what they want, never to return.

What makes the percentage of people who stick around higher? It’s typically 3 things.

A- There’s so much information at that site in a topic that interests them that they will be back.

B- They get the sense that someone is “minding the store”,

C- Least likely, they believe that they will find what they’re looking for or and feel connected to a real person who might be able to answer their question, or direct them to something better.

You can affect those last two by being a real person. I know some people have ghost bloggers, CEOs in particular. They give their general ideas to another party who fleshes them out. Or the other person writes all their blog posts. Some sites have a team of bloggers posting on a site where the actual owner who makes the most profit is never heard from.

And that’s fine. Your blog must still have personality. There’s no law that says it has to be Your personality. But if you have an impersonal blog, you may as well not have a blog at all.

2. Not Linking to Fellow Bloggers

Big mistake. Biggest lesson in blogging is that no blog is an island. Why would you expect people to link to you if you don’t link to them? And if you think that’s giving away traffic that won’t come back, think of it this way.

Unless you chain someone to their computer, they’re eventually leaving. And since it’s illegal to do that, you might as well help your visitor along their way. It is imperative that you develop the confidence to know that they’ll come back. And no one can place a gift in the palm of your hand if you’re holding out a closed fist.

3. Not Commenting on Your Blogs or Others.

No popular blogger catches every last comment, true. But to get to popularity, you better believe they started out that way. You should also comment on other blogs. In fact, forget your link the first few times - you may only need one link to count in your favor anyway. So take the focus off that and add to the discourse.

It’s smart blogging and people don’t forget it.

4. Speaking Like an Expert Before You Know Your Stuff

This is my number one pet peeve. Everyone is an expert on something, but you should Only speak expertly on things you know about. Doctors don’t try to do your taxes for you. It just doesn’t make any sense.

At first, people may listen to you. But once they do what you say and they fall flat on their faces, because of your bad advice, what then? Do you think they’ll be in line to buy your products and solicit your services? Will they become return visitors who may click on advertisements that interest them?

No. Duh!

And yet I see people I think of as truly intelligent make this dumb ass mistake again and again.

It’s so cool to have authority and to have people’s opinions be swayed by your knowledge and expertise, sure. But until you can prove your results, cite supporting research from trusted sources, and maintain a reputation for being a rain maker, you’re shooting yourself in the foot and you’ll probably take your business down with you.

Not to mention all the poor people who are following your bad advice. My favorite thing is when people give contradictory advice on different blog posts in the same week, without even recanting. They state whatever position is popular, just to get visitors, not caring about the fallout they cause.

So if you’re a newbie blogger, how do you get popular without declaring yourself an expert? How can you have power and be influential if you’re the little guy? That’s another article for perhaps later on today.

5. Failing to Capture Leads

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have some type of lead capture on your site. Even if it’s inadequate and you don’t intend to email your list frequently. Sending them a freebie or some tips once a week is enough to keep your list warm. Send them a tip a day and it’ll be blazing hot. And when your tips hold water, they’ll be ready to spend money on the premium version of your solution to their problem.

The same is true for RSS. More people are using RSS feeds, and sometimes they are fading into the background of other tools they use to retrieve information or do research. For the love of Pete, if you’re blogging, turn your site feed on and test to make sure it works.

6. Taking without Giving and Thanking

It’s great when everyone links to you, pays attention to your site, and generally makes you popular. But you have to frequently remember that you’re nothing without those folks. Send a private thank you note. Make a public one.

Add the link of the person who linked you to a social bookmarking site. Comment. Share. Make a blog post about your supporters.

7. Poor Integration of Monetization Techniques

Another pet peeve of mine.

It’s amazing how many times I pull up a blog that has more in-your-face monetization plans than good content. Not that I’m against money. You know me. I’m not ashamed of being a capitalist. The value exchange is one of man’s best inventions.

However. If you want to have paid reviews, an advertiser block, Google AdSense, affiliate links and paid link positioning on your site all at the same time, blend, darling. You can get all that stuff on your blog, and more, if you’ll simply position it properly.

If you don’t know how? Hire a designer.

Okay. I think that was all seven. A long article, but it’s worth it if any one of those seven points puts money in your pocket, traffic in your site, or leads in your sales process.

How to Actually Rank For Any Keyword With a Legitimate Search Engine "Loophole"...

by Andrew Bailey

Only the largest, most-established authority sites can reliably see consistent traffic from Google. And even then, their rankings fluctuate constantly - several times a day, in some cases. The fact is - it's getting harder and harder for the "little guy" to get any kind of meaningful web presence on the web these days.

Getting ranked in Google is almost impossible unless you've got a major promotional budget and some time on your hands to "wait" for your domain to become trusted (Google favors older domains). And advertising with pay-per-click ads isn't affordable like it once was.

Search marketing has finally become what everyone feared it would - a game reserved for big business. But what if there was still a way to legtiimately rank for keywords with tons of traffic? And what if you could do this without having to spend months and even years building up an authority site to do so?
In fact - what if you could systematically create one-page minisites that could rapidly rank in the top 3 spots (consistently) for basically any keyword you target within a matter of a week or so?
Is this for real?

YES.

But not with Google.

It's happening right now, as we speak, on MSN.com

Now - before you think it - yes, I know, MSN doesn't have nearly the reach that Google does. But, it still does receive millions and millions of search users daily. After all - MSN is the default home-page for anyone who first uses Internet Explorer.

And, to put it in perspective, which would drive more traffic? Occupying the #1 ranking for your most desirable keyword target on MSN? Or occupying the #47 spot on page 5 of Google's results? Sadly, it's actually more effort to make it to the 47th spot in Google than it is to literally dominate in MSN.

How does this work?

Click here and watch this video to find out: or Click Here To View More Digital Products http://www.digitalproductsrus.com/ Like I said - forget about Google. Focus on something that you can actually WIN with, and win big!

Evaluate AdSense with Some Type of Balance

by IB SERVE

There are times Google's heralded ad affiliate program isn't in your long term business interest. Oh no I said it!

AdSense isn't the unstoppable revenue engine for every eBusiness. Before I am taken out and flogged by the eCommerce pundits -- please let me explain what I mean in my defense.

I make revenues from AdSense at a very high click-through rate. I experience high click-through rates with AdSense without resorting to questionable tactics like tricking site users with photos (the AdSense trick and tip dujour).

So my perspective is from one who has made decent income from AdSense to fund aspects of his business like advertising seminars -- and outsourcing to his virtual assistants. Yes, AdSense is a legitimate and significant revenue source. However evaluate AdSense with some type of balance.

By now you may have heard about people like Joel Comm.’s six figure income with AdSense, or Jason Calacanis of Weblogs being on his way to generating 1 million dollars in AdSense revenue. Google's Ad revenue sharing affiliate program for publishers certainly seems to be an eSales Nirvana for many webmasters.

But there are obvious and not so obvious times not to use AdSense ads on your sites. Let's list - examine - and explain them below.

1. On Sales or Mini-sites

This is a no-brainer. If you are trying to sell a particular product that is important to your bottomline, you don't want AdSense ads distracting your customers from either joining your email list, or hindering your site's online sales process.

However I do see hybrid sites that are mini-sites or full scale eCommerce sites, with AdSense at the bottom of their pages. This might not be so bad since only 1% - 15% of your site visitors will either buy from you or fill out a form.

The thinking with this approach is you might as well make money from disinterested parties using up your server's bandwidth.

2. SEO Business Sites

If your livelihood depends on search engine optimization or marketing for a living you might want to think twice about displaying AdSense Ads on your site. I can tell you this from personal experience. I once was on top of MSN for search engine marketing in my local area. I concentrated on my local area because I found people felt more comfortable hiring an eCommerce consultant locally.

One day my site fails totally out of the MSN index. After intense study I noticed that I obviously had a filter on my site from MSN.

I analyzed all the top ranking sites in MSN and noticed the only difference between me and the other top ranking sites was I had Google AdSense ads on my site. Someone at MSN felt that my AdSense ads, and perhaps to a less extent, my book on SEO, was getting a free ride in the MSN search engine database.

In fact I noticed that there were no sites with AdSense ads for at least the first 3 pages. Plus the sites with AdSense were only using 1 ad unit at the bottom of the home page (there were very few of them in the top 5 pages).

I knew it was strange to not have AdSense ads on the top Internet marketing sites. This prompted me to scan other industries where I noticed the same trend.

Many of the leading SEO gurus have sites that have been banned from the top listings by the search engines. It seems the more visible you become, the more of a target your sites are to the search engine auditors.

Some of my sites are still on the top of MSN with AdSense ads but that doesn't mean they won't also be targets in the future.

Let's face the facts. MSN and Yahoo! have competing ad networks to Google's, and this competitive situation is rife for a potential backlash against SEO sites with AdSense ads.

Many SEOs will point to exceptions to this position. However you have been warned!

Think about it, how long will MSN and Yahoo! sit back and watch SEO driven websites use their search indexes to fund Google? Did you know SEO in MSN and Yahoo(!) --- is much easier to obtain.

Therefore optimized sites are creating an ad sales wealth transfer from MSN and Yahoo into the pockets of Google! It won't be long before Yahoo! and MSN begin to devalue ranking on AdSense sites in their databases -- if not outright ban them.

If you are in the search engine business stay search engine neutral, or create multiple sites for different search engines.

3. When AdSense Becomes Your Only Business Model

When you become so myopic in your thinking that you build a business solely on AdSense revenue -- think again my friend. Why build a business solely on the largess of Google?

I don't know if your realize it or not, but the sites making the real big AdSense money usually have a following that doesn't depend on the search engines. Internet mavens like Chris Pirillo or Joel Comm have been on the Internet a while and have followings for their websites. Therefore they can consistently make six figures with AdSense.

These content powerhouses are an asset to Google and not the other way around. But do you think Google is going to sit back and watch just anybody make big bucks off of their top rankings?

If you do a search on most keywords you will notice many of the top ranking sites are news sites, .gov sites, or .org sites these days. The only exception is in industries where these sites don't really exist like eCommerce industries (clothing, shopping, etc.).

No doubt in most industries you will notice a conspicuous scarity of AdSense sites in the top rankings. In other words don't bet your future fortunes on AdSense.

An IPO based on projections of AdSense revenue isn't in the future for the average eBusiness. Think of Google AdSense as supplemental income. Building a business solely on AdSense revenue isn't just silly -- it's just plain stupid

Article Marketing for Target Leads.

by sunny1

Internet marketing is all about getting good leads and getting targeted traffic to buy your product. After all, this is marketing. Your product can be information, a program, or a physical property; Internet marketing is about sales. Article marketing is one of the most useful marketing tools that an Internet marketer has at their disposal.

Writing articles to submit to article content sites is free if you write the articles yourself. Keep your articles unique with unique content. Engage the readers and keep these articles to around 500 words. You do not need to have a degree in creative writing in order to create your own. This is an example that will show you how article marketing can work to make money for you using no money and no website.

As an affiliate marketer, you sell products for others and receive commission for each sale you make. Visit Click bank online and create an account with them. Now, select an E-book product that a company wants you to affiliate with. Most of these types of products have a nice commission offered to affiliates when they sell. Once you choose a companies product, they will provide you with a piece of code. These are your code, to direct traffic to their site or go .

If someone clicks on this piece of code and buys the E-book, you receive a commission. For the sake of this example, let us say the E-book product is How to Eliminate Excessive Sweating. The articles you will be writing will be about the problems some individuals face because of excessive sweating. Your niche market will be people who sweat too much. These articles will engage the readers and entice them to want more information, that you provide a link for at the bottom of your article. Let the readers know there are ways to eliminate excessive sweating. If they want more tips and information about this, they can click on the hot link you provided that says Click Here.

This hot link you provided for more information is your piece of code that you inserted to take the reader to your companies pitch page for their product they sell to eliminate excessive sweating. Article submission sites are content sites for articles. Many of them are online and submission is free. Join up with an article content site. This article site will let you submit your articles for inclusion in their directory you can visit

Your article will get exposure by being indexed by search engines very quickly because your article is now a part of the article content site. The search engines love these sites and index them within a few short days. Also, many site owners will use articles in these content sites for article content on their sites. This method will cost you no money to market this product. It is free marketing for you. You did not even need a website for this method because the code within your link for more information directs your readers to the company’s site.

Let them take over from here. When someone purchases that product, you made a commission. This is one article marketing method using excessive sweating as a vehicle. Use SEO writing your article for targeting keywords so your article shows up on search engines when others are looking for information about sweating.

There are many other ways to use article marketing. Article marketing is used by many Internet marketers in a variety of different ways to market products and generate target leads.

Increase Traffic To Your Web Site Using Videos

by Peter OBrien

If you want to succeed online you need traffic to your web site. Without traffic you have a great looking site with very useful information and products but no one will ever know. Traffic is the life line for your online business.

Generating traffic to your web site is one of the hardest if not the hardest thing to do when trying to make money online. You can try pay per click advertising which will bring you traffic very quickly. But if you do not know exactly what you are doing, then pay per click advertising can cost you more money then you will make. Not a very good business plan.

I like to generate free traffic to my web sites. One method I use to send free traffic to my web sites quickly is video marketing. Making a video is not as hard as you think. You can create your video with a digital camera, web camera or you can just use pictures.

Digital Camera

once you have completed filming your video, plug your camera into your computer. Before uploading your video to youtube, google, yahoo and other video sharing sites be sure to watermark your web site address on each frame. Since most people do not watch the entire video, they can see your web site address and visit your site.

Web Camera

This are great if want to show how a product works. This a very powerful and successful way to promote your product or affiliate products.

Pictures

Most PC's come with a piece of software called Windows Movie Maker. With this software you can input your picutres, add cool effects, type and music.

After your video is complete all you have to do is upload it to the video sharing sites. You can do this manually by visiting each site and uploading your video or you can use a free service at tubemogul.com. This service will upload your video for you to multiple video sharing sites.

Be sure to use your keywords in the title of your video. This is what the search engines will index and show on their pages.

Video is very popular and the search engines like google are always visiting these sites which means that the videos get indexed quickly and start showing up in search engines when your keyword is searched.

Now you know that video marketing can increase your traffic-wouldn't you like to enjoy the benefits of Camtasia without paying the $300.00 price tag? Make videos like the gurus with CamStudio Internet Marketers Version and drive floods of traffic to your professional designed web site with adsense and affiliate products with these adsense templates.

Who Wants to Increase Targeted Web Site Traffic Today?

by Daniel Gonzalez

The problems of learning how to market your website online are ones shared by all newbie marketers. However, one of the greatest challenges reported by all is finding out how to increase targeted web site traffic. To increase targeted website traffic obviously creates an increase in sales. Learning to increase targeted web site traffic, unfortunately, can turn out to be very expensive. What methods did you try and what did it cost you?

Learning how to increase targeted web site traffic is something I did the way far too many newbie online marketers do. I threw money at every traffic promise around. I started with free methods, then gradually nickel and dime my way to having spent significant amounts of cash getting almost nothing. So I got some sense stopped throwing away my pennies in piles. I sought the real experts that know how to increase targeted web site traffic. I studied the marketing super performers and began doing as they do. Wisely spent dollars began to increase targeted website traffic to my domains. By spending more money on highly specialized knowledge, I significantly reduced my costs.

After throwing cash at a steady stream of worthless methods, I came to my senses and began canceling non-productive subscriptions. They never produced any increase targeted web site traffic results. It was time I sit back and review what I should do. I focused on finding the super stars, and the strategies I could quickly learn and put to use to increase targeted web site traffic for my online business. I studied the experts sites, listened very intently, and eventually spent money of more effective strategies that began to increase targeted web site traffic to my sites.

My research efforts located three respected marketers that had proven results, made no false promises, and had techniques I could find the money to implement. I needed to succeed with my online business, and I would not give up on ways to increase targeted web site traffic. When I finally had the power tools that worked, and steadfastly implemented the proven techniques, it did increase targeted website traffic. It definitely does not come fast, and it was not easy because I had wasted so much time trying to find the easy, cheap solution. In the end, it would have been much wiser to spend more up front on these proven experts methods to increase targeted web site traffic, because if you still think you can do this without spending a dime, you are going to keep getting the same lack of results.

So you need to be smart. Stop thinking you can do everything for nothing. Wake up and admit that the idea is not sound. Do your research, find two or three experts, and spend your money there. It costs more up front, but over the long term, it pays off with a cash return, and therefore saves you big money. Having proven strategies also will increase targeted web site traffic for you.

6 Secret Traffic Strategies

by: Dora Tarver
Building a website is not all you need to do. Once you have a site you need to know how to drive traffic to the site. The following are 6 traffic strategies that you can apply to immediately drive targeted traffic to your website. Learn how to transform your site quickly and easily.

The key to succeeding in any internet related business is traffic. So then, how do you get visitors to flow to your site? Driving customers, clients, or readers to make your website a place that they regularly visit is really not hard to do. Driving traffic does not just happen on its own. You need to plan and execute the plan to make it happen.

1. Consider visiting other sites that are similar to yours. Visit the blog or forum of these sites and post a message with a back link to your site. A back link is simply the URL (address) or your site. Needless to say you need to put the back link in the context of a short sentence or message. If the site allows you to have a signature, then add a link to your site in your signature.

2. Create a blog with a RSS feed that notifies subscribers whenever you have updated information. Then create new content in your blog regularly. You will find that others will begin to link to you from their own pages and list you as a valuable source of information.

3. Start with Free traffic techniques and then graduate to paid traffic. Makes sense? Common sense will make you successful sooner! Traffic exchanges can quickly bring in a lot of traffic. There are plenty of good free traffic resources. Consider using Traffic Swarm. Open a free account or sign up as a pro. I started with a free account then graduated to pro. Pro will allow you to gain more points sooner and benefit from your downline.

4. SEO mean Search Engine Optimization and is one of the best things you can do for your business. SEO will help you generate targeted traffic for your website. Targeted traffic means that the people that visit your website will actually be looking for what you have to offer! Techniques like keyword density within paragraphs as well as keyword placement within the title of the webpage, Meta tags and the bolding, underline and italicizing of keywords within the webpage are a few of the SEO techniques that will impact traffic to your site. You may learn more about this at enlightenedsource.org

5. Use safe linking practices. Set up linking arrangements that appear natural. You only want to link to site related to your keywords and target market. Just having links is not what you want to do. In fact you will be penalized for just having links. It is not the number of links that matter. What matters is if the sites you link to be related to your site and that those site you link to have a rank of 3 or higher.

6. Good site content is very important. Search engines love content, and so do your visitors! Fresh content will keep your visitors coming back to your website at their own will and you’ll naturally get higher results at search engines.

Tip'd: A Repeat Of Digg?

Tip'd was went online this week. For those who are not familiar with this site, it was put together by one of the heavy hitters on Digg, msaleem. He, along with a couple of anonymous business people, started a Digglike site to focus upon business articles. This seems like a viable model and one that I hope to see work.

There are a couple of problems with Digg. The most obvious is that facist attitude they took in banning many people. Many feel they were unfairly prosecuted when they did nothing against the TOS. Also, the fact that most of the heavy hitters were left untouched when there is evidence they engaged in behavior that got others banned show preferential treatment. Many posts on this site and others reflects people's anger at this.

The second area is the liberal slant on Digg. Some feel they were banned because of comments they put up in defense of moderate or conservative ideas. One look at the front page will instantly tell you how the site leans. At any given time the front page is filled with anti McCain articles. Of course, there is not a single anti Obama one in site.

That is Digg. The point of this article is that Tip'd is offering a different beginning. Or is it? Msaleem, in an effort to get the site moving, tapped into many of his Digg friends. Will we see a repeat of Digg. I certainly hope not. But, these people cannot stop going to the sites that slant to the left. Sadly, they think it is business news.

The example that prompted this post was an attack on "Joe The Plumber". The left wing media is loving the game of uncovering dirt on this guy while discrediting him any way they can. That is what they do. However, for people to post this on Tip'd as business news is a repeat of Digg. I only hope that it does not go down the path. Unfortunately, since most are Digg retreads, this is not likely. The only hope is that the moderators stop this behavior off before it starts.

Stay tuned to see which route they take.

Diggstapo

http://trevorcrookblog.com/2008/10/12/diggstapo-the-term-for-social-medias-gestapo-called-wwwdiggcom/
The following article can be found at the above address

Wikipedia has a meaning for Gestapo Tactics and I have now termed a meaning for Diggstapo Tactics. Before I reveal this to you . . . a little of ToeCracker’s Digg History.

I joined digg in July 2007 and started to become an avid user in late November, digging around 300 stories per day, supporting my friends submissions, commenting and getting front pages stories . . . after making a shit load of mistakes etc.

Digg became like a drug, an addiction to the point, where yes, I was a diggaholic under the under name ToeCracker.

Back in March, I heard of a script which would allow me to digg faster, which from a time management perspective, made a shit load of sense. I also understood this script was part of Digg’s API and as I wasn’t digging anymore stories each day, simply taking back some of my valuable time, I used it.

I had dugg over 66,000 stories, over 1,000 comments and had 149 front page submissions at the time I got my ass banned Friday week ago . . . banned even though I had removed the script approx. 4 weeks earlier when the shit hit the fan and about 80-100 diggers got banned.

When I removed the script, I went back to the labor intensive task of digging the old way, hitting the link, speed reading the description, adding a comment and + others if I chose to. In the prior 4 weeks to getting banned, I had taken time off from nearly all social media to take some ‘ME’ time.

I had 2 short bursts on digg. The 2nd one, only 2 days before I was banned and the actual day before I was banned, I sat there for about an hour, catching up on my diggs to be met with the WARNING:

“Whoa their cowboy, itchy trigger, digging so fast is lame, how about you read some stories” and this pissed me off no end.

How piss weak is a site like digg, when you can digg too fast by hand, I mean What The Fuck! So, I sent an email to digg, asking them to explain why they can dictate to me the time it takes for me to read a description on a story and decide to digg/bury etc. Nothing I was doing was illegal and against their fucked up TOS.

As usual, digg didn’t reply. The next day I was banned without warning and when I emailed them 2 times, I was basically told to go fuck myself and that they suspected I had used a script and banned me, then they pointed me to 2 blog posts about scripts etc.

Their 2nd email suggested they would be going over power profiles logs and deciding if people would be banned.

I admitted to them my error in using a script, which I thought was in terms of their API etc. and as soon as I knew it wasn’t, I removed it. They simply banned me, like they have done to so many others and will continue to do so.

Life goes on and personally digg can go fuck themselves and it seems they are doing a very good job of this anyway . . . just ask Google.

TOECRACKER’S (Crackpedia) MEANING OF ‘DIGGSTAPO’ TACTICS:

“The Diggstapo has the authority to investigate treason, espionage and sabotage cases by way of script usage, and in cases of personal attacks on the Kevin Rose and his bum chums. A law passed by Kevin Rose gives the Diggstapo carte blanche to operate without judicial oversight.

The Diggstapo is specifically exempted from responsibility to administrate correct judgment, answer people with respect and to ban anyone’s ass from digg for absolutely ANY reason or even No reason at all.

The power of the Diggstapo most open to misuse is called ‘BanzingYourAss’ - a euphemism for the power to ban digg users without judicial proceedings or a chance to explain their case. The person banned – simply disappears from Digg without a trace under Diggstapo policy . . . although the Diggstapo team is well aware these banned diggers simply get a new IP address and create a new account where we only have one thing to say to the Diggstapo Team . . . FuckYouDiggstapo!

Life goes on and it has. I will simply do more Mixx, Stumble and Reddit.

Dedicated to kicking your ass until you succeed.

I am so glad that others are finally seeing digg for what it is, and I have a feeling that digg's days are fast becoming numbered, it is fading into the sunset and the way they are operating it seems less and less people are actually going to miss them.

Digging a Grave

Is digg dying a death ?

It seems that more and more are being banned and more and more of the submissions to this once great site are ‘repeats’ and things that were buried by the now banned members.

To be banned from digg all it takes is to open more than one link at a time, read them all and then digg them, you do not have to use a bot or a script, you do not have to do anything wrong as stated in their term except not follow like a sheep and click one story at a time and then wait an hour before you read the next, I have yet to work out how you can take 5 minutes looking at a picture, you open it, look at it, like or dislike it and move on, 1 minute tops !

I personally know of a family, 3 seperate members who were banned as they were told they were using a script or a bot as the activity on their account was ‘erratic’ They all work so they used to come onto dig at various times during the day, this it seems was classed as ‘erratic’. They also say that you have the right to appeal against a decision, again this is FALSE...... they will not enter into any discussion with a banned member, they have a stock email they send out and will not reconsider even when asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, here is a copy of the mail I received from them ...

Greetings from Digg.com,

We have found activity from your account showing the use of a
bot/script/macro to Digg stories, which is explicitly against the Terms of Service (digg.com/tos) you agreed to. The account has been banned permanently, and will not be reinstated.

Because we must be vigilant in protecting against activities that
compromise the Digg community, this decision is final and irreversible.

Thank you,

-Digg Support

How is this a discussion ? How is this proper and fair treatment ? As far as I can see its not, they are not prepared to listen to anyone and as such they are starting to dig a grave for themselves, how long before they bury themselves in the hole they are creating ?

What type of Friend are you ?

I am a member of Digg, and within that membership, I have 98 friends. I thought this was a nice number until I started to submit some things to the site. Now don’t take me wrong, I don’t flood the site with crap; I don’t post 10/15 per day. I just submit one possibly two a week, things that I find interesting and which I think others might as well. So where is the problem?

The problem lies in the fact that I spend my time on digg shouting and digging my ‘ friends’ submissions and shouts they send me, I look at things that interest me on the popular and upcoming sections, I basically do what I was under the impression one does when on a social site, yet when I submit and shout things, out of the 98 friends only 46 receive my shouts as the others have requested not to receive shouts. This is fair enough, but for some reason it doesn’t stop them sending me 5/10 shouts a day asking for Diggs and shares on their submission. It seems a bit one sided to me to be honest.

So what are you meant to do? Can someone explain the rules to me? Do I ignore the shouts and requests as mine are ignored? Do I add more friends hoping that if I have 200 then possibly 100 might digg my submissions? And why do you want to add friends if you have no intention of actually being a friend and helping a submission but sharing and digging. I am not saying Digg blindly but I am asking for a bit of consideration to those on your friend list. If you have no intention of actually being a friend, then remove yourself from their list; it saves everyone time and some considerable effort,,, oohh but wait if you did that then none of your submissions and requests would be answered would they.

Which category do you fit into? Are you a friend or are you a user? Is your profile switched off to receiving shouts? Only you will be able to answer that but look at how many times you have dugg a friends submissions and answered their shouts, that will give you a good indication, me... well I am a friend .

What is going on with Digg ?

What in the world is going on with Digg ? Has anyone else noticed the low numbers now needed to get to the front page ? Where once you needed two of three hundred minimum diggs to get to the holiest of Front Pages now it seems that 100 will do. Something is seriously wrong on this site at the moment.

I was one of the 100 that were banned, now some may have been banned for a reason and some may have deserved to b banned but I did not, I never used a script, a ‘bot’ or any other means to dig a submission, I used my fingers and my eyes and I read them, commented if I had anything to say and then dugg them, yet still I was banned and no reply was forth coming from digg, I have tried on numerous occasions to email them I have asked for the supervisor and I have written and told them my usual dig habits and even my work schedule so they could see that I dug at certain time of the day or evening because of life commitments and still they will not answer me.

I spent a lot of time gathering friends on the site, I painstakingly read their submissions and shouts and dugg them and shouted out to other friends, this is what I was mistakenly under the impression people did for each other on a social site, they socialised and if an article was sent to me that I enjoyed, then I wanted to share it with others, be it a joke, a picture or a blog item, all have their ways of improving someones day.

I will admit that I have opened another account on digg and have at the moment got 97 friends, not too many and not too few but it seems that although they are happy to send shouts out asking for a digg on a certain post or for me to shout something for them, they are unwilling to do the same for others, again this is showing on the front page numbers, so I ask the question why do they want to be friends ? This never happened before, everyone was more than happy to shout and dig for another but looking at the quality of articles now being submitted and the amount of re posts it seems the ones who were banned might actually have been amongst those who were keeping dig in the social media spot light.

A lot has been said about the famous inner circle and yes I agree that if they are ‘cheating’ the system and being given special treatment then they need to go BUT for the ones banned that were not doing anything wrong then this is grossly unfair and something needs to change in the way they determine who is doing what and how. Take a look at the front page, you will see what I am talking about, there are fewer and fewer things being dug and fewer and fewer good stories being submitted, unfortunately as it stand at the moment then reddit has the lead on digg, a big lead that is going to take months to recover from unless something is done and done soon.

The Digg Controversy

Seems that the Digg controversy continues. There is a rift between the people who are viewed as manipulating the system by using scripts and those who want everyone banned. One of my last pieces was about the sissies who have only cybercourage. These people are as destructive to Digg as the ones who try to manipulate the system.

The bottom line is Digg truly has no idea who is using scripts. They claim to be hitting people based upon the suspicion of it. This from an organization which prides itself on being a democracy. I guess we cannot expect anything more from a bunch of flaming liberals. The accusations that Digg is in cahoots with the DNC was furthered by their interview with Nancy Pelosi. This organization is about as democratic as Red China.

Digg went through and banned a number of its top users. However, it seems most were in the middle of their top 1,000. Very few elite diggers were hit. This is cause to believe they are in bed with the Digg organization. I can see why some of the other people are whining. They feel it unfair that the top diggers use scripts (or blind diggs) when they abide by the rules. It would seem that they have a valid point in a democratic organization. Of course, if these people want fairness, they need to go to StumbleUpon. Digg is anything but that.

For all who are interested, here is a list of the Top 1,000 on Digg and what happened to them.

StumbleUpon Stepping Up

Is Stumble trying to take advantage of the recent events at Digg? It seems they are although I would surmise the timing is purely coincidental. Stumble made some changes to the site which should enhance the attractiveness to it's users. Basically, they are expanding the capabilities of the system.

To start, they removed the 200 friend limit. For those who are really "social", this is welcomed news. I would say the people from Digg will like this move.

Also, the system will remove friends who are no longer active from your list. This is really handy since there is nothing more frustrating than realizing that your list is half empty. Digg keeps the names of the people who had accounts closed. Many who were friends with the banned were surprised to find that most of their friends were gone. Digg will leave them there eternally.

Another nice feature is that new people appear at the top of your friends list. This is a nice way to ensure that the newer people get some focus.

Finally, you can have a friend without getting their Stumbles or vice versa. From a time management standpoint, this makes life easier since it removes some clutter. Even though people are our friends, we do not always have the same interests. Now, you can choose what you like to see.

This could be another small step in the demise of Digg. When you are the big boy, there is no place to go but down. The recent activities over there might open the door. StumbleUpon seems intent on making a play for that place.
